Mumbai, 26, 2005: Emerson Network Power (India) Pvt. Ltd. today announced the appointment of Prashant Mehar as the Corporate Champion – Channel Business. Prashant who was previously with Samsung India Electronics will head the channel vertical for Emerson (India). Hitesh Prajapati, his predecessor, has moved to Emerson Network Power, Hong Kong as Director – Channel Business, Asia Pacific.

As part of his responsibilities, Prashant will continue to further strengthen the channel business and will focus on expanding Emerson’s reach, introducing new products and technologies and concentrate on marketing initiatives on the channel front.

An MBA from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute and an electronics engineer from Mumbai University, Prashant has rich experience of over 7 years in the channel business. Prior to Samsung he has worked with Tech Pacific and Philips.
