Network Power (India) Pvt Ltd. today
announced its plans to launch rack
and enclosures solutions for the
Indian market. The launch comes
close on the heels of Emerson’s
acquisition of Knurr AG of Munich,
Germany, the global leader in Rack
and Enclosure Technologies for IT
and Telecom vertical. With this
acquisition, Emerson Network Power
India becomes the only player in
India to offer cooling solutions
at the room, rack or chip level.
These solutions will be available
in the Indian market starting March
2006.
Knurr's broad platform of rack systems
will integrate with Emerson's cooling
and power management technologies,
helping customers solve problems
in new and existing installations
and giving data center managers
more flexibility in facility design.
The market size for IT racks
solutions in India is currently
estimated at Rs. 200 crores
and Emerson expects to be a market
leader in this space.
