Emerson Network Power Appoints New
President For Asia
Mumbai,
India [January 06, 2009] – Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson
(NYSE:EMR) and the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity™,
has appointed Stephen Liang as President for the Emerson Network Power Systems
business in Asia Pacific.
Liang, who has led Emerson Network Power in
China
for the past 8 years, will take on the additional role of President, Emerson
Network Power Systems Asia. The Systems business incorporates all of Network
Power’s activities in the region, including the Liebert, Energy Systems,
Emerson Network Power China Co. Ltd (formerly Avansys), and ASCO Power
Technologies businesses.
Liang is a highly respected company leader,
having worked closely with IT and Telecom Infrastructure customers in the
region to help them reduce their operational costs by improving infrastructure
efficiencies. This experience equips him well to further advance Emerson’s
Energy Logic efficiency drive into its core Data Center
markets throughout Asia Pacific.
Prior to his current role, Liang worked for 10 years in the Philippines
setting up operations and R&D for Commodore and subsequently Astec, another
division of Emerson Network Power. Liang’s prior work experience included
assignments with Data General in the US,
Singapore and Thailand. He
takes on his new responsibilities from Ajeet Singh, who after 27 years with
Emerson has left to pursue interests in private equity.
